A STATMOS-SIO Workshop on Argo Data Statistics will be held at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), La Jolla/San Diego, California, April 25-27 (Tuesday-Thursday), 2017, organized by Donata Giglio, Art Miller and Sam Shen. STATMOS statisticians are invited to attend the workshop. The workshop’s purpose is to have statisticians working together with the SIO Argo scientists on one or two specific topics on Argo data. It is expected that the research progress made at the 3-day workshop will foster long-term collaborations between the interested statisticians and oceanographers. STATMOS will provide full travel support to five statisticians, who will still need to file an online STATMOS travel request by March 10 (Friday), 2017, using the regular STATMOS link https://www.statmos.washington.edu/travelrequest.html
For the “host mentor” in request form, use Sam Shen (email: firstname.lastname@example.org). After filing your travel request, email your full CV to Sam Shen. STATMOS will make the travel award based on the applicant’s expertise and interest in Argo data. The travel award will be made by March 17, 2017.
